Prof. Menachem Lorberbaum is an Israeli professor and the chair of the department of Jewish Philosophy, Talmud and Kabbala at Tel Aviv University and is co-director of the Center for Jewish Political Thought. He is a Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. Prof. Lorberbaum studies political theory and the connection among religion, state, and politics in the Jewish tradition. A recent book ''Politics and Limits of Law: Secularizing the Political Medieval Jewish Thought'' was published by Stanford University Press (2001) and a Hebrew edition is forthcoming. The Shalom Hartman Institute published the first book of his four-volume work, ''The Jewish Political Tradition'' edited with Michael Walzer and Noam Zohar, and Yair Lorberbaum, co-editor. It was published in May 2000 by Yale University Press. A Hebrew edition was published in 2008 by the Shalom Hartman Institute.
